Kimberly Martinod, a graduate student in Denisa Wagner’s laboratory, received the Junior Investigator Award for Women.  She presented her poster titled “Peptidylarginine deiminase 4-dependent generation of neutrophil extracellular traps is crucial for deep vein thrombosis in mice” during the Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (ATVB) 2013 Scientific Sessions in Lake Buena Vista, FL held May 1-3 where her award was announced.

The Award is sponsored by the Women’s Leadership Committee of the Council on ATVB and it aims to help recruit and retain women in the field of arteriosclerosis, thrombosis and vascular biology by recognizing excellent research.  Prizes are designated on the basis of scientific merit, quality, and originality of the abstract and finalized after the poster presentations. For more information click here.
