Monica Gostissa, Ph.D., an Instructor in Pediatrics, in the laboratory of Frederick W. Alt, Ph.D., was announced as one of ten awardees of a Children's Hospital Boston 2012 Career Development Fellowship.  Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development, the Clinical and Translational Research Executive Committee, and the Research Recruitment and Resource Committee, these fellowships provide funding to enhance research productivity and growth during the early critical years of an academic research career.  Those receiving fellowships have demonstrated excellence in research training, productivity, and a well-defined focus in clinical, translational, or basic research, but without substantial independent support.

The title of Dr. Gostissa's project was Dissecting the Role of End Joining and DSB Response Factors in Intra-and-Inter-Chromosomal Translocations.  The Career Development Fellowship provides support for two years.
